Ridgewood Commons is a space for mutual aid, community building, and collective learning & experimentation.
Governance & Groups
Ridgewood Commons operates under a spokes council governance model, with the goal of fostering cooperative skill building, diverse community representation and influence, and organizational resilience.
Current spokes groups:
Food Pantry, Gym (Ridgewood Commons Strength), READgewood Tutoring, Spokescouncil Planning, Sunday Dinners, Tech Collective, Writing Workshop, Yoga and Meditation, Commmunications & Tech, Finance, Fundraising & Grants, Programming & Rentals, Facilities
Programming
We host free community programs and projects year-round, including: a Food Pantry, Communal Sunday Dinners, Film Screenings, a Community Gym, Yoga & Meditation, a Maker Space, Writers’ Workshop, Reading Groups, Arts & Crafts Workshops, a CSA, along with Talks and other skill-sharing and educational events.
Rentals
The space can be rented for a variety of purposes: from presentations and workshops, to parties and as a film/photography shooting location.
