Bathroom hutch idea 2025-12-xx

Hutch / shelving for storing overstock supplies idea development

TL;DR - If we make more storage space in the bathroom...

...we can clear the shower out for other use (shower, silkscreen cleaning, trash can cleaning.
...we can separate some supplies that are clustered in the black cabinet - cleaning vs kitchen supplies
...we can store overstock of stuff in the small set of drawers: narcan, menstrual products

Would be lovely in wood, but wire shelving would be expedient.

Discussion from 6/21 facilities meeting

Toilet wall is 47"
Maybe better to run along the longer 53" wall

12" wire shelf experiment

Tried with a 12" deep shelf we had, and it's too close to someone using the toilet. 6 or 8" might work, or a wall mounted shelf instead of floor.

What to do

Full wall wire shelving

This would be a pretty full wall of 8" deep shelving. Would create a huge amount of space, but maybe change feel of room a lot.
How high would we want?
Could hold tons of cleaning supplies as well as a full case of TP

Could also just buy an adjustable two shelf setup, would leave the floor clear, probably feel more open.

Wall mounted single wire shelf

DIY / custom wooden shelving

Custom made wooden spans would probably be the best vibes.
