NYC Mesh - Why and How
We participate in NYC Mesh for its social structure (volunteer-run mutual-aid not-for-profit), for its security stance (document vulnerabilities openly, privacy-respecting). Participation includes us sharing our connection with our neighbors (currently Future Space, and another community member), and at least 2 others neighbors.
First Month Feedback
> slow during video calls
compare network performance inside a phone booth to outside
try placing AP high up
check if there is some client-side issue (check association details)
run performance tests and check if there is some social behavior (are video calls during lunchtime?)
setup wan bonding with verizon?
vibecoded wifi driver is the bottleneck?
