Admin Onboarding

• Unclear if people new to admin work should come to admin meetings
• The meetings are an unreasonable amount of commitment to expect of people
  • no, depending on how much they want to be involved.
  • what about if someone is running the IG? this isn’t just posting, it seems the majority of the labor is responding to DMs
• can there be a distinction between admin work that requires (crucial) decision making, and work that depends on guidelines

Tempo and Nature of Coordinating Meeting?

• dora likes the face time, maybe doesn’t need to be as often

• “what is the governing structure of the space?”

  • as we transition from emergency mode to day-to-day operations we need clearer accountability

• lp: these meetings feel like more work than they need to be

• shea: maybe we should move to bi-weekly for the next month. things will be slow

  • set agenda and serve as a check-in

• p cm: i think we’re missing check-ins from everyone as it is. if someone doesn’t show up we have no idea how things are going from them and if they need help etc

• dora: we are in less of an emergency than we were when we started

• lp: i want more people to contribute to meeting agendas

  • this is how people know when to show up

• dora: what if there was 1 monthly meeting for everyone and the other sundays are focused on other topics

• whatever the specialized admin meeting is happening that week can be announced along with the social posts about sunday dinner

• lp: what if we had spokes meetings every 6 weeks instead of 4

• dora: there are frustrations about how empowered spokes is. we are due for a check-in about the space. the town hall

• lp: that’s a pressure relief valve but doesn’t solve the structural issues we’re dealing with in the space

• dora: we could mirror the structure of the emergency councils. the first time they were during a period of extreme stress and it was speculative. now we have experience to reflect on. it’s important that people feel empowered in the space to create the systems that they want.

• lp: are we undervaluing the use of asynchronous comms

  • dora: i’m bad at texting

• iris: we’re not on fire anymore

  • p cm: we can’t even really tell because we can’t see our bank account

• lp: nobody is doing the work to make their roles transferable

  • our growth has slowed down. we’re at $2850 gross donations per month

• lp: does finance have meeting?

  • dora: no. we need to

• lp: it’d be good to have a list of what we want / need from a fiscal sponsor so we can allow people to do their own searches

Platform W9 situation

• We’re unable to withdraw any money from patreon until we submit a W9 form? maybe

• what about withfriends. we’re not sure.

• finance needs to have a meeting so things are less siloed

• lp: we should have lower tiers than $10.

Comradery

• Should we initiate the application process for https://comradery.co/
• Fees are lower
• Feature set is growing, as cooperative we may have input in platform direction
