2025 Dec 04 Meeting Notes
finances
- 4200-6000 per month in expenses
- benefit fundraisers are currently what is paying our rent
- we're only bringing in $2800/mo
- basement contributes $300-something per month
- 100 + 125 + 80 + 50
- daniel: can we ask for money to improve the basement
- basement contributes $300-something per month
relationship w/ facilities & dino
- RC is 3 individuals on the lease. it's unclear how much of our isolation from dino is his preference vs RC leasholders protecting nature of the RC/LL relationship
- it would be reasonable to ask vanessa to act more as a go-between for facilities to dino
- sy: is this what we're expecting from vanessa? they have their own legal relationship
- for now we'll @vanessa in the facilities chat
potential termite damage on the right side of the roof
- dino is expecting us to insepct the right side of the ceiling
- lp popped a hole in-between joists to inspect one header and it looked clean but it took 10 minutes.
- with a team of 3 people it might be a 1-2 hour job inspecting the joist headers on the right side of the wall
- lp: should we seal the exposed sealing with something so that dust and shit doesn't come down.
- TODO: we should follow up with dino to see if he's actually planning to put sheetrock up
backflow update
- we still need to get a quote back from mark
- we don't know how we're gonna pay for it
- we can pay better attention to rainfall amount predictions
- it's really bad twice a year
lighting for the basement
- buy better panels for upstairs and move the shitty ones downstairs
- todo: think about where the 6? panels should live in the basement
- lp's 3d model tour
- sy: what if we flipped the woodshop to the other side of the beam-- swapping with where the hackerspace tables are right now. there's no longer any sheetrock ceiling so maybe the height wouldn't be an issue for jessie like it was in the past
